At St John the Baptist, we believe that having a school pet helps to develop children's nurturing skills. Our pet- William Fitzralph (Fitz for short) is a beloved member of our school community and is cared for well by everyone in our school. He is named after a knight, who is buried in our church, and is also our school emblem. Each year, we learn about Sir William Fitzralph as he is an important person in the history of our village.
